$5k? That’s damn good!

I feel my wife would be rightfully pissed when I tell her I canceled our trip to Germany to take the kids to visit her sister.

I am tempted to buy it. But it would rust and die where I live.
Live on, little 2002. Live on...
*Quiet weeping.

Hmm. Square tail lights, and battering ram bumpers. But it’s in great shape, and the worn out driver’s seat is just an excuse to swap in some 320iS Recaros...

Maybe if her sister wasn’t German, this wouldn’t have to happen

I have trouble believing that’s a 45k mile car.
I am selling my classic mini next week and have been seriously considering replacing it with a 2002

Just undercoat it and you’ll be fine. My 2002 has been surviving Connecticut winters since at least the 80s. No rust except a small bubble on the driver’s door.

Just store it in the winter!

I’m all out of room. The E30 Cabrio has to go somewhere.

But you could take them for a Sunday cruise in your new Bavarian ultimate driving machine, and that’s basically the exact same thing.

This thing could be a blast. I’d love to see if the owner brings it out to the vintage BMW show that’s being hosted at my office on Sunday. It’d be the perfect place to sell it.

Actually, she and her hubby just moved outside of Stuttgart.... but yeah.

This argument was made invalid by my purchasing a $300 ‘84 320i back in college that required much more work than I was willing to invest in at the time and smelled like an old gym sock. (TL:DR, she’s not going to fall for that twice)

If I had a second garage spot, I would seriously consider driving up there for it. Even if the mileage listed is incorrect/false.

Yah, you’re welcome. Totally owe me one. I came across it and flipped shit. I think I want a Momo Indy or one of these:

IDK, kinda like the wood.

It has been purchased. Now I need to find a matching shift knob... and to fix my car.

I definitely owe you one. Let me know what to keep an eye out for.
Oooh. That’s a great looking wheel. They have one with the ///M colors too. I think wood and leather both look great on a 2002. You can’t really go wrong with either.

You bought it? NICE!
FIX YOUR CAR.
Oh, I have stuff to share
Let me know if you come across some sport seats or old Recaros. Really anything that wouldn’t look too out of place in my car.

Hell yes. I’ve been looking for one for months. I’m glad I didn’t have to ship it form Australia like I half expected to. Ahaha.
Wow. That’s the rack you made yourself? It looks killer! And it’s actually functional, too ;)
I know I said this last time, but the wheels in silver really look amazing. Definitely a good choice.
And I will definitely keep an eye or two out. How much do you want to spend on them?

I’m really happy with the wheels and the rack. Glad I could help you out with the wheel. They don’t produce BMW horn buttons anymore, so this might be the next best thing. Probably what I’ll go with.

Seats: <$300 if they need reupholstering. $600 if they look good.

I have an older reproduction BMW horn button on my Luisi wheel right now. I think it should fit on the Momo. If not, I’ll probably follow suit and go with the Alpina button.
Okay, I’ll text my buddy at the shop. He is usually pretty helpful in finding stuff. I’ll let you know if I find anything.
